The Role
I started working as a graduate software developer as a permanent job in this company 3 weeks and half ago, and so far I'm enjoying it a lot, it seems like the perfect work environment where to start to put in practice what I studied at university and of course where to learn always other things. I'm really curious to take part in other stories and learn new stuff
I found a really familiar and friendly work environment, they have been really kind and patient from the first day I joined them , and the same when I had the chance to visit my manager in the London office and the other graduates employees , all was very friendly and relaxed, they seem to be really interested in team building and creating a nice environment
I'm working next to more experienced colleagues so I can learn from how they work. They are really supportive and patient to answer my question and my doubts about how the system works. They explained how the system architecture work, and they also allowed me to go to the London office to know my team manager and to meet the other graduates employees and it was a really useful and interesting experience
On a daily basis we have quite various activities, in my opinion is well balanced. We have several SCRUM-related group activities (daily meetings, planning for every sprint, retrospectives at the end of the sprint, pre- grooming and grooming in the middle) and demos, both in the office and via video conference system (with other colleagues located in other offices , both in Italy and abroad) and of course developemnt and projecting activities. I appreciate the fact that during a work day we have the chance to do different activities
They introduced me how they work using SCRUM Agile approach, since the first day I started working here, they made me take part to all SCRUM meetings (in person and via Blue Jeans video conference system) so I can learn quickly how they work. They started soon giving me small tasks, with the help of other teammates, so I could start doing something practical and understand how their product is working and their components are operating together
The Company
People who i work with seem to be quite happy with their work and satisfied about what they do, they have a pretty fill schedule but it looks well balanced and the atmosphere feels quite relaxed. We have also nice events like Hackaton, when we have the chance can exchange our own skills and improve, and areas where we can eat all together. Work hours are quite flexible and reasonable

I applied through a job offer that I found on LinkedIn, I went through their recruitment process (an Hackerrank phase, a phone interview, then a job interview, both group activity and technical one) and at the end I got offered a permanent job, which I accepted since the company made me a really good impression. All the process has been really quick and all it wen smoothly , and now i'm really glad i have the chance to work here :)
The Culture
Rome is a pretty expensive city (maybe the most expensive in Rome) and I still live in my childhood home so I don't have to pay a rent for an house and I can save money. I guess that renting apartments in the area i work in is quite expensive since it seems a pretty nice neigbourhood, close to the football stadium and many sport events, and there would be also a lot of pubs and reastaurants for every price ranges
Near my office in Rome I guess there is a pretty good nightlife in the "Ponte Milvio" area, there are a lot of pubs and restaurants, it's also close to the main football stadium, so there are a lot of people, the neighbourhood is pretty, the problem is that public transport in Rome is not good at all, especially by night, so after work people want to just go home because it could happen to wait for 1 hour for a bus to go home, so it's not so easy to have an experience of nightlife after work for me
Work hours are quite good balanced, so we can have time to get involved in other activities outside of work. Sometimes we have activities organized within our office (like game Night every month) but we have also time enough outside the office (if we don't spend all the evening waiting for public transport in Rome) We have also an amount of money that we can spend in sport activities ( sport courses, but also snow week, etc)
