The Role
Excellent all round exposure to the corporate finance department at EY
I feel my colleagues gave me a lot of support and also as much responsibility as I wanted, especially when I had to present some of my work to a Partner.
Everyone helped with the pastoral side of things and ensured that I had a fulfilling experience.
Some days I was really busy and other times I was fairly, but I think this reflected the nature of the job too.
A lot, some of my work was used at Partner level and also incorporated on client projects.
I would say a great deal, especially the general business knowledge I developed over the summer at EY.
The Company
Serious at times, but everyone was friendly and willing to offer advice. A typical office I'd imagine.
Very well organized, especially the initial induction weekend at the beginning.
They invested a great deal, especially on the technical side of things to make me immediately useful to the corporate finance team at EY.

Company Parties/Events
Everyone who undertakes the placement and performs well is guaranteed a job.
The Culture
Excellent, There were about 10 of us in all the different departments and because we'd all been on the induction weekend at the beginning, we all knew each other and were therefore keen to meet up.
Cheap, especially when compared to London.
Excellent, Bristol is a really cool city.
A good deal, I had the opportunity to play cricket and go to drinks evenings, both of which I undertook.
