The Role
I think in Software Infrastructure at Bloomberg you never get bored because you always receive things to do that involve research and possible working with code that you have never seen.
I thing the most important thing was that they helped me. They let my to choose the direction of my project. Other cool thing is that now everything is in production.
My mentor helped a lot with everything for the project. I had a great collaboration with him.
A Bloomberg intern usually stays for 10 hours at the office. I think every two days we had event(s). Here the interns have fun.
I had two projects and both are now in production.
The Company
I think the atmosphere here is relaxing (you have fish tanks). If you are an engineer you will have a nice desk and you can work while hearing nice guys from bussiness talking with customers. I think this is cool.
I received the team that I requested. They had a great plan: events, talks, board games, courses, parties.
I think I learn more about open-source tool and I improved my skills about low-level stuff, C++ and Linux.

London it's an expensive place but you can have fun. The rent is very expensive. You should spend some time searching for flats in every corner of London.
I love The Flying Horse Pub. It's everything I need to know about pubs near office. The new office will have more pubs around.
Bloomberg has many charities and a program called BOB wich helps people. You can be a volunteer during the working hours!
