The Role
I enjoyed my work placement immensely. I made good progress in my professional development and have found the skills that I learnt have been invaluable.
I felt very valued by those that I worked closely with.Members of my team who viewed my work and depended on my time management appreciated my work and dedication. I think that potentially there was less appreciation by those higher in the department although I think this is due to their distance from my work.
I was offered support and guidance regularly, and knew that I had a support network available to me.
I was very busy and if I ran out of work to do I knew that I was able to ask for more work.
The level of responsibility increased appropriately with my experience. Without attending college, I was unable to take responsibilities beyond a certain point. Therefore, my level of responsibility did not exceed my capabilities.
The skills that I learnt have been invaluable already in my time after my placement. My work enabled me to develop my confidence in my own abilities, my professionalism and knowledge. Going ahead in my career, this confidence will enable me to present and perform well in interviews.
The Company
Happy atmosphere in general although ran through cycles and depended on how busy the time was.
