The Role
Bloomberg made sure that everyone here has a really good time.
I was considered part of a real team, my opinions and contributions were taken seriously and were valued.
I learned a lot from them, whenever I got stuck or needed guidance, there was always a team member or mentor there to help.
I had plenty to do on most days but I was not required to overwork if something was not done.
Quite a lot of responsibility was given to me. I was involved in designing and then implementing software that was shortly after used in production.
I worked with knowledgeable people and they invested serious time in improving my skills. This part of the placement is probably what I appreciate the most.
The Company
I wouldn't particularly call it a super fun environment, however it was very relaxed and easy going.
Insanely well organised.
They gave talks and held courses on different relevant technologies. My mentor and other team mates spent hours explaining and teaching which are a huge value.
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare/Dental
They haven't given me an offer at the time of writing yet, however it was strongly hinted that I am very welcomed back. I am very strongly considering coming back after my studies.
The Culture
It was really quite nice, it's good to work in an environment where people like to hang out with each other anyway.
The office is in the City of London, I believe this says enough about costs. On the other hand, the salary is more than adequate to make up for it.
It was right next to the area Shoreditch, which has a great night life.
There really were endless opportunities to do volunteering or other activities.
