The Role
I felt I was challenged in my placement and trusted with projects/tasks that directly impacted our customer and made a significant difference for Verizon. I established strong working relationships and thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
Once I had earned their trust and respect, my colleagues really valued my input
My line manager and colleagues were very supportive and we worked closely together. I was given regular feedback on things I was doing well as well as constructive feedback for going forward.
My tasks varied day to day but there was always something to do.
At one point, both my hiring manager and line manager were out of office for a few days and I was left to close the month and set as both of their Out of Office contacts.
I improved upon the knowledge I had already learned during the first 2 years of my degree and my computer and software skills also significantly improved.
The Company
Often stressful but still enjoyable
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
I would definitely consider working there upon graduation
The Culture
There was a group of interns who regularly had meetings to improve the internship program as well as organise social events for both in the office and out
