  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I felt I was challenged in my placement and trusted with projects/tasks that directly impacted our customer and made a significant difference for Verizon. I established strong working relationships and thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

    • Once I had earned their trust and respect, my colleagues really valued my input

    • My line manager and colleagues were very supportive and we worked closely together. I was given regular feedback on things I was doing well as well as constructive feedback for going forward.

    • My tasks varied day to day but there was always something to do.

    • At one point, both my hiring manager and line manager were out of office for a few days and I was left to close the month and set as both of their Out of Office contacts.

    • I improved upon the knowledge I had already learned during the first 2 years of my degree and my computer and software skills also significantly improved.

    • There was a group of interns who regularly had meetings to improve the internship program as well as organise social events for both in the office and out
