The Role
Very insightful on the skills needed to succeed in Supply Chain, giving a range of tasks to be completed
People make you feel welcomed, no matter the position and it helps with having a group of other people joining the company in supply chain which you feel you can go to with any issues
You are given a mentor, attachment supervisor and a sponsoring manager. You have monthly meetings with each as well as having the ability to arrange meetings with other people to be given support
It depends, sometimes I had a lot of work to complete, others i had little and sometimes i had the perfect balance
Quite a lot, in particular when I was on station and I was getting on with my own tasks
With my degree, it has helped that my degree is work based, but it has allowed me to get a better idea of what I want to do. As well as gaining skills in Excel and SAP which I wouldn't have learnt
The Company
It was a very welcoming and fun environment, which helped me feel welcome and made me comfortable
In some attachments, it wasn't the best but overall they had a good plan for me
They sent me on trips away, invested me in training courses. As long as I could provide a reason why, they would happily give me the opportunity
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
The amount of opportunities to move around and experienced different parts of the business motivates me as well as the travel involved is appealing, making me want to stay on at the company.
The Culture
Yes, as we all met through the young professionals network, it gave us a chance for us all to socialise together and network
It was cheap for what we got paid, you can easily save money
Coming from Manchester and Nottingham I have high expectations and it suited my needs, particularly, Cheltenham over Gloucester
Yes, I joined a rugby team and there are plenty of sporting activities outside of work in the local area
