The Role
RBC's internship programme exceeded my expectations and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. This programme helped me realise Finance was the area I wanted to work in.
Although it varied for which rotation I was on, I always felt like part of the team.
Both my line managers were really helpful and in my opinion went over and above what was required, considering their busy schedules.
It varied from day to day. On some day's I would have a lot of projects on the go and other days I would have very little to do.
Given the constraints on my knowledge (no accounting qualifications), I was given a fair amount of responsibility.
My excel has improved a lot and this will help with any jobs I have in the future. Awareness of financial markets will also help.
