About You
The placement was very worthwhile as I learned a lot from being treated like a trainee at the firm. I also thoroughly enjoyed the socials as they were a great way of getting to know the trainees.
I felt that I was given a lot of responsibility e.g. by being asked to rite a blog post which was later published on DLA Piper’s website.
The graduate recruitement team were great at getting in touch to check that we were ok but I like being left to my own devises as it made me more proactive in seeking out my own work.
I felt like a trainee, so I feel that my advocacy and communication skills developed significantly and made me feel more prepared to commence my training contract after university.
The Company
I thought there was a great balance between work, activities and socials.
I got on brilliantly with both my fellow vacation scheme students and the people at the firm. I felt very at home due to the atmosphere.
They allowed me to feel like I was fully employed there and pushed me through the assessments, so i feel that the firm invested a lot of effort in developing my skills and confidence.
Very much. I felt as though I was already employed there.
Very much. I felt immersed in the culture and feel that I know a lot more about the fi culture than I did before.
It was invaluable as it confirmed that I want to work as a commercial lawyer at DLA Piper.
Everything Else
Yes, and they were very informative.
Very enjoyable.
I learned that there is a netball team which plays in a competitive league.
Definitely. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and really liked the firm.
