The Role
Some admin type tasks to do, but mostly interesting and relevant
Across the two offices I visited everyone was very welcoming and friendly
Both my buddy and my supervisor were very supportive and concerned that I got the most out of the internship. Very approachable and helpful in giving advice for improvement
Not overly busy, but not too bad given the circumstances/time of year
A fair amount of independent work, both for other colleagues and for outside agencies
Good experience of working in a corporate environment. Developed useful skills especially interpersonally with clients and colleagues
The Company
Very friendly office, with talkative and welcoming colleagues
A bit of a slow start immediately after the induction, but for the rest of the internship I had a fair amount to do and opportunities for client visits and shadowing
Significant and residential induction in Birmingham and IT induction in Manchester
Flexi Time
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Job offer at the end of the internship that I am keen to take up
The Culture
No other interns based in my office, but good induction and final socials
Roughly comparable to home, so not too bad
Commuted into work daily so no real opportunity to experience it, nightlife at induction venue very good
Fair, with opportunities to attend local Young Professionals Network events
