The Role
I found the project itself to be really enjoyable and well-defined.
I felt valued and participated in morning meetings, which made me feel included.
I received the guidance I asked for.
It varied. Because there were some steep learning thresholds I had to spend many days doing research, other days intense programming, but I never felt idle.
The project was not critical in that other people depended directly on me, which is suitable for an internship.
Gave me insight into the software engineering workflow and workdays.
The Company
Generally agreeable and focused.
Very well-organised with good deadline specifications.
There could have been more opportunities for cross-team learning.
Very appealing. If it suited my expertise better, I would definitely consider working there.
The Culture
Yes, the occasional pub night and staff party.
Socialising opportunities required a bit of a walk, but the prices were low.
I don't know as I rarely go to nightclubs.
Yes, there were yoga clubs and the like.
