The Role
I really enjoyed the placement, great people great company to work for.
I was lucky to be part of a great team, we had fun but also knew when to work.
I received a lot of support and advice throughout my placement. The people there were very open and helpful.
Depends on the day, but it was fairly busy throughout the year and very busy during peak times and periods such as Christmas and Easter.
I think how much responsibility given to the placement student depended on how much they wanted it. I was given my own team and department.
The skills and knowledge gained from my placement will have everlasting impact on me and it was very relevant to my course.
The Company
The office atmosphere was very interacted and engaging.
There's a set up meeting at the beginning of the placement to plan discuss the year but it changes throughout depending the growth of the placement student.
I was involved in several courses throughout the placement year to develop me as a manager and it meant a great deal.
National Travel
Got a graduate job offer at the end of my placement and so I am looking forward to working for DHL again.
The Culture
It was nice socialising with other placement students. We usually met up every few months and even did a project together.
I spent my placement in north of England and the cost of living was very cheap.
The nightlife wasn't really great but the area was an hour drive from my uni so it Alright. I would travel there most weekends that I was not working.
Few sports events here and there. A lot of charities sponsored by DHL if you would like to raise money for the charity of your choice.
