The Role
I enjoyed the placement scheme as well as the project i was on
My colleagues on my project were very helpful and made me feel like part of the team
Management were very welcoming and would always listen and help me with any problems i had
Construction can be a very busy job. there is always something important to do
When it came to testing concrete and surveying i held a lot of responsibility when they felt i was ready to complete tasks alone
the practical skills gained and the group study skills gained are very relatable to my degree
The Company
very busy at times but at the same time relaxed
very well organised, I always knew what was going on and i never felt as though i was left out in the dark.
In terms of training the company has invested a lot in me, learnt a lot of new things on site as well as a couple of training days
Company Parties/Events
Travel loan
talking with people who got into the company through this scheme, the prospect of working with Laing O'rourke is very appealing

Lived at home in london, so im used to the cost
there were activities with the placement scheme, as well as events organised with clients
