The Role
I enjoyed my placement very much. I got given a great deal of responsibility throughout my placement year.
I felt extremely valued by my team. We were a very close nit group and I learned a great deal from them during my time at Travelport.
My Manager and the Intern programme gave me excellent and consistent support throughout my placement year.
I was fairly busy on a daily basis. It varied from each week and heavily depended on what campaigns/projects/tasks I was working on.
I was given a lot of responsibility throughout my placement year. This included my own campaign that I ran across North America and Europe.
This has already assisted me greatly in terms of work rate, study engagement and graduate job applications.
The Company
The atmosphere was always positive and happy. The people were all very nice and extremely supportive in my department.
At the beginning it was not well organised due to managerial changes in my team. However, from a few months in until the end it became much more efficient.
Travelport invested great time and effort in developing its' interns, in particular with intern sessions and charity work.

As an engaging B2B firm, the opportunities are extensive for someone like myself looking for graduate work.
The Culture
There was a good social scene with other interns. Not quite as much as I would have liked personally though.
Fairly poor as an intern's wage, combined with rental costs in Greater London.
Almost non-existent.
There were plenty of opportunities including Travelport's 7-a-side team which was a great way to socialise and stay active outside of work.
