The Role
the placement year is great, it taught me a lot, allowed me to meet new people and even travel which is amazing for a student.
Everyone treats me like an equal. unlike in other companies, at bosch a placement student doesn't just get coffee and photocopy millions of pages.
My two managers are always helpful, giving me many tips and guidance on not just work related topics but life in general.
I'm quite busy most days because as a project manager i have to constantly communicate with the customer, internal colleagues and help with any tasks which will ensure smooth running of the project. But the managers do understand that we are not robots and do not give us ridiculous workloads.
I have been given a lot of responsibility (probably more than other students) because I have by myself handled a whole project which was a challenging but great experience.
all interns have to attend compulsory training "build" which helps develop skills like communication, time management, self development etc. also the training we receive on the job and by shadowing others is invaluable.
The Company
the atmosphere is very chilled and very welcoming.
The managers already had an incredibly detailed plan which explained what they wanted me to do. The good thing is that the plan is different every year so the student always does something different.
the company invests a lot in the students which is good because it shows that they care.

Working from home
I would definitely like a job with them.
The Culture
Yes there are evenings when students go out and have fun with each other.
the cost of living in Basildon is quite high which is why i stayed at home. There's also not many places to go out in which is why we always go to central london.
terrible.
