The Role
I enjoyed the work I was asked to complete. A large part of this was down to the team I was working with and interaction I had with the rest of the business.
There were some occasions where more appreciation could have been given for the work that I completed.
The support from my supervisor and manager was brilliant.
I was very busy, with something important to do at all times.
I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement. I was given my own projects to work on during the year.
I will take some of the skills away with me, I would have liked more training available as an intern.
The Company
There was always a buzz in the office with something happening, there was never a dull moment. Although it is a fast passed environment it always seemed quite relaxed. We had different events being held throughout the year for employees to get involved with.
The year that I spent in my internship was split over two teams, the transition between them wasn't smooth. I also started later than the other interns (at the request of the business, not myself) and so I didn't receive all of the on boarding activities that the other interns took part in.
I had meetings to discuss my development during the year and some development activities with the other interns.
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
There isn't a grad scheme in the area I completed my internship in and at the moment I can't see any other way of me returning to the business. This may change in the future.
The Culture
Yes, there was an intern community but also social events with teams.
I lived just outside of central London, rent was still high and socialising was the same price as being in central.
We had to travel for the night life.
None that I was aware of.
