The Role
I'm extremely glad I decided to spend my year in industry with this company
I felt I was treated like any other permanent member of staff
My supervisor was very supportive but encouraged me to follow my intuition
Workload ebbed and flowed throughout the year but generally was about right
I was given almost complete responsibility over my own project
I developed many skills as the work I carried out was so different to anything covered on my university course
The Company
Everybody in the office got on really well and the atmosphere was relaxed
The placement work was organised but project direction changed often (as expected)
There was many e-learning courses and a fair amount of internal training
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
There are previous placements students who graduated and went back to work for the company. However vacancies do not come available often.
The Culture
Placement students and other staff met up regularly outside of work
Living costs were not too high especially as the placement was well paid
Lots of events
