The Role
I had a great time. Everyone I was working with was extremely friendly and happy to help with any questions I had.
I was given a lot of responsibility and felt that the work I was doing was appreciated.
When I needed some support on the work I was doing they were all happy to help. Additionally, any questions I had about the APC programme or general questions about work I was doing were answered timely and well.
I was given a lot of work to do from going on site visits and viewings to working at my desk on the computer. The variety and content of work I was given was extremely enjoyable.
I was working with colleagues on various projects that had underway.
The skills I developed whilst working have been useful through my third year at university. Looking beyond they will be extremely useful when I start my career as I now have the skills to tackle certain tasks with little to no assistance.
The Company
The atmosphere was great! I enjoyed working in an office where we were able to joke with each other but also sit down and focus on my day to day tasks.
I felt that upon arrival there was work that had been expressly set out for me to do. But also during my internship I was able to jump in with other teams and help them with things they had to do which wasn't planned.
I felt that Cushman and Wakefield put a lot of time into ensuring that I came away from the internship and a more rounded professional.
I finished my internship and received a job offer shortly before the summer holidays finished.
The Culture
There was a great social scene from events that were arranged by outside companies that myself and some of my colleagues attended to drinks on a Friday night after work had finished.
I had an internship in my home city of Cardiff so living was cheap. Though I do know that going out and eating in the area isn't over priced.
The nightlife is great there is a lot to do in the town centre from clubs to bars and pubs.
As I was only there for 1 month I didn't have the opportunity to get involved in any of there.
