The Role
Thoroughly enjoyable. An unforgettable experience!
Very easy to settle in. Warm and welcoming environment.
Buddy and councillor always approachable and willing to provide help and support.
Despite it being a quieter period over the summer, there is always plenty to get involved with provided you are proactive.
They try to include you as much as possibe in order to allow you to gain better insight into life at the firm. However, as an intern it is sometimes difficult to give you too much responsibility.
Huge array of skills learnt during my internship including soft skills as well as more technical skills; all of which are relevant for career development and can be implemented in the future.
The Company
Atmosphere was generally very positive and friendly.
A lot of thought and planning goes into the internship, from the induction at the beginning to help all the interns to settle in to the black tie event at the end.
Each intern has there own buddy to help make their experience as easy going and relaxed as possible as well as a councillor who constantly monitors your progress throughout. A set of goals is made at the start and you receive feedback throughout the process with development points provided to help you get the most out of your placement.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I was offered a job the week after finishing and accepted straight away.
The Culture
Plenty of events from the induction at the start to the black tie event at the end including others throughout the duration of the internship.
Relatively cheap and pay from the internship more than covers any costs with plenty left over at the end.
Located in the city centre, not far from main nightlife attractions.
There were opportunities available such as corporate responsibility and charity fundraising amongst others. However, due to the shortness of the placement, available opportunities may vary.
