The Role
A placement that enables you to grow, learn, shadow and make huge impact! Very social environment with plenty of travel opportunities available. You're able to impact millions of customers and work with the best minds in the business for one of the biggest companies in the world.
My manager was first class. Invested money, time and thought into my development. I was able to travel, take courses and be active on social events. You get such great support at Microsoft from your mangers, mentors, buddies and colleagues.

The summer months were quite quiet. But once September begins you are full steam ahead! With opportunities to do multiple tasks! Marketing, project management, operations, sales. Anything you have an interest in. Summer months were there to get you prepared and ready.
Huge. From presenting to leadership to presenting to the public. You get huge responsibility to do great work that you are interested in. You can be in attendance at conferences or on calls to people from around the world. The opportunities are endless. You have such a great responsibility. It's upto you how far you take it!
I believe I saw how little connection there is currently with theory and how it applies in the modern world. Though this placement made me more determined to challenge the way theory is taught and how out of date it is.
The Company
Amazing. Free soft drinks. Great atmosphere and aura. It was a campus atmosphere.
Very programmatic. Welcome day. Welcome week. All to get you prepared for the role. Hugely rewarding and great the way things are structured though communication could be improved.
Able to challenge myself daily. On the job learning with courses at my fingertips.

Greatly so. I would say you have a great chance of coming back if you have an internship and did well!
The Culture
Yes although groups were quite clicky especially depending on were you where from and your background. I think this should be improved upon and looked at to create more inclusion and fairness for interns. Although, parties and events were prevelant for you to get involved in so do not worry about the social scene.
Quite high. Looking 500+ for decent accomodation.
Not ad goof as London or Liverpool but quite good for a small city!
Hugely! You could travel the world or get involved in 101 groups which were extension projects to impact the wider community.
