The Role
The placement was fantastic - I got the opportunity to develop my existing skills and learn new ones.
The R&D team were brilliant - really welcoming and always willing to help.
Support was always available and I always felt I was a trusted member of the team.
With multiple projects on going there was always plenty to work on.
I felt over the course of the placement the knowledge I gained meant that I was trusted to do more and more - this was really rewarding.
Having only recently returned to uni it's difficult to make a definitive judgement on how much my placement will help with the remained of my degree however I think the placement will be invaluable in aiding my future career
The Company
The atmosphere always struck a perfect balance between being a fun place to work and being a good environment for getting work done.
Very well organised as I got to be involved in the same things as the rest of the team. I also felt that I had the ability to help shape my placement by asking to be involved in specific projects.
I got the opportunity to take part in the companies training programme as well as being able to learn from the R&D team.
Company Parties/Events
I've managed to keep in touch and I'm currently involved in a project with the company.
The Culture
I didn't live in Leeds so couldn't comment.
Monthly social events, after work drinks, weekly football - there was plenty on offer
