The Role
I really enjoyed my internship. I worked in Deal Advisory in the Transaction Services team for 4 weeks and really enjoyed my time at KPMG.
My colleagues were very supportive and made me feel really comfortable in the team.
They were really supportive, and took the time to explain everything to me. I was always askin for help and they were happy to give it.
I was busy most days but sometimes there wouldn't be anything really for me to do, especially in the first week of me being there. There is only so much you can do not having any prior experience.
I think I had a fair share of responsibility as an undergraduate. I dealt with client data and added to the report.
I think I gained a lot of skills, especially learning how to use excel properly!
The Company
The office atmosphere varied depending on how many people were in.
Apart from the fact that when I got there they didn't realise I was coming once they had planned something for me to do it was fine.
I think they invest a lot of time into you, bringing you onto a project allows you to see how the team works properly. I had a checklist to complete of tasks that I'd done and had talks with my managers and one of the partners.
Subsidised Canteen
They would offer a really good start to a graduate careers.
The Culture
Yeah there was a really good social scene amongst the graduates and they let me get involved.
I go to university in Birmingham anyway so it was the same pricing I'm used to and a lot better than London,
I go to uni here so I knew the night life was really good
I'm not too sure of these opportunities but I think there are more once you join.
