The Role
The team that I worked with made it a very friendly and understanding experience on the most part. As with most companies, there are exceptions
Two types of extremes, some senior managers valued me highly as they understood the skills I had, others preferred to nit-pick at what felt like anything
Any help needed was provided
Either very busy with work coming in from all over the place or on a couple of days nothing at all. It was varied
I was given a number of very good opportunities by one of the senior managers, elsewhere in the business it was pretty standard
Nothing related at all. Job not at all technical
The Company
Friendly, lovely people on the most part. Always socialising to the point that we organised drinks after work a fair few times
Very, if not too well. Felt like we were unnecessarily being checked up on a lot of the time
First few days were general training days,. other than that a lot of it was learning on the job. On the most part very good
Company Parties/Events
Not very as it just wasn't a very technical job, I'd feel a little expendable
The Culture
Yes, some organised by EY too
Relatively expensive as it's Manchester centre. Travelling into work was very pricey
Very good, it's Manchester!
A few, not very well advertised though so not many people got involved
