The Role
I really enjoyed my internship at EY. I felt like a valued member of the team and was given a lot of responsibility on a daily basis.
Everyone at EY was really warm and welcoming. They were always happy to help and give you any tips and advice that you needed.
I was given support and guidance by management/supervisors throughout my internship. We meet up on a regular basis where we would exchange feedback and discuss how I could get the most out of my internship.
During my internship I was given lots of responsibility which meant that I was busy on a daily basis. This was especially the case when I was working on the client site, where I got really involved with the project.
Working at the client site four days a week meant that I was given a lot of responsibility. I had a key role in the production of a range deliverables, which I had to uphold EY's values and standards. I was also responsible for the organisation and note taking of large important meetings.
In my internship I felt like I really developed my excel skills, which is a very useful skill to have. I also improved my team working skills and my confidence when interacting with clients.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was really warm and welcoming. Everyone was really friendly and happy to help if you ever need some guidance or advice.
The internship was put together very well. EY organised several events/training sessions throughout the internship to make sure that we were settled and had all skills we needed. We were all given a counsellor and a buddy, who gave us feedback and advice when we needed it.
EY invested heavily in me as an intern. For example they organised lunch and learns which were really useful and allowed me to develop my learning and skills.
I would love to come back and work for EY. I thoroughly enjoyed my internship.
The Culture
Yes there was a very good social scene amongst my fellow students and colleges. I would often meet up with colleges in the evenings and EY organised several events for the interns so that we could all get to know each other.
As expected, the cost of living and socialising in London was more than I am use to.
Yes the nightlife was very good in the area I worked in. There are lots of bars, restaurants and clubs to go to in the evenings.
Yes there was lots of opportunities to get involved in activities outside work. This included charity work with EY foundation and sports, such as the EY football and netball team.
