The Role
Really great placement, and such an amazing intern community which made it even better.
I find that every is very welcoming, and if you go out of your way to do someone a favour, it certainly wont go unnoticed.
Given lots of support and guidance, but you do have to ask for it. You cant just sit around and wait for people to realise your lost you need to be proactive.
My job role was really up and down as I worked more on the events side with Microsoft. I could have a really quiet day and then the next day would be completely rushed off my feet, but there was always plenty of work to go around.
It took a while to be given the responsibility i want but once i found my feet i was definitely relied on a lot.
I definitely feel even with basic skills like time management and organisation will help me next year. Also took MS exams which are free for employees but really expensive externally which will look great on my CV.
The Company
Quite a relaxed environment. Dont get me wrong everyone is very busy but there is definitely enough time to have a laugh with your colleagues.
Initially it was very poorly managed, but i know this was such a rare case. You definitely have a available to you a great support network.
I had the oppurtunity to go to many events, I was put into positions of responsibility which at first were a little scary but have all helped to develop me as a person.

The Culture
We had a great intern community, but also teams are so close with many social events littering the calendar throughout the year.
Working it London, we definitely struggled as it is somewhat pricey. But you have your salary and just have to learn how to budget.
Located in central london you certainly cant complain about the nightlife... only the prices.
There are plenty of sports teams for those who want it.
