The Role
Gained a wide and varied experience of what it like in the workplace
You are always seen as one of the team and never just the Tea boy/girl
Always there for you to ask a question or guide you through something
Usually fairly busy, but I prefer to be busy that sat with nothing to do.
Like I said above you are one of the team, so you will be treated like one and given responsibilities. Also like I have said above you won't be by yourself when you come to exercise your responsibilities!
Massively!
The Company
You are given objectives that they would like you to cover in the first 3-6 months the 2nd half is a little more free form depending upon your development
Not so much when you are a placement student, my team were always happy to sit down and explain things, but since rejoining the company I have passed one certification and have been on a training course for another one.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Depends largely on the vacancies at the time however the company has grown a lot since I joined
The Culture
There is a strong ethos at the company of working hard and enjoying the company nights out be that as a whole firm, team nights or just generally organised socials
Newbury is a fairly wealthy town however I found it quite easy to live and socialise in the area whilst on placement
Its not the best having been spoiled for choice at university, but places like Reading and London are not too far away
There are weekly activities such as Football which the company pays for also we have had squash, pool leagues in the past that tend to come around annually
