About You
I attended Taylor Wessing's Trailblazing Open Day which provided several excellent opportunities to learn about the firm. I appreciate the huge effort that Taylor Wessing made to ensure that it was an exciting and insightful day. I enjoyed all the events, which included a Q&A with the UK managing partner, group exercise, and lunch with trainees.
The firm culture seemed very inclusive and open-minded. Even though I was only there for an insight day, I felt that I was valued, both when it came to my contributions in the group activity and when talking with members of staff.
The graduate recruitment team, partners and trainees were very helpful when it came to answering questions and supporting us throughout the day.
The group activity was great practice for getting the balance between working in a team and demonstrating good leadership. This task was also useful for developing important communication skills needed for discussing and presenting ideas in a commercial context.
The Company
The day was packed with activities and presentations. It included lunch with trainees and drinks in the restaurant.
I felt that Taylor Wessing was a friendly and welcoming firm which fostered a great team atmosphere.
I felt that Taylor Wessing demonstrated a strong commitment to investing in and creating the next generation of leading lawyers.
It was useful to meet current trainees, who graduated not so long ago, about what working at Taylor Wessing is like. They provided a comprehensive idea of what it would be like to work at the firm full-time.
I found that actually experiencing the firm was essential to understanding the culture. As with all firms, it is hard to understand culture just by reading about it.
After talking with trainees, I had a much better idea about what areas of law interest me most of all.
Everything Else
Yes, plenty.
They were well organised. It was fun to meet such a range of interesting people.
I found out about the many Pro Bono activities Taylor Wessing is involved with.
I would highly recommend Taylor Wessing as a firm worth considering whether for an open day or a training contract.
