The Role
The placement was very well organised; I was able to work on a variety of companies and got the opportunity to go to London for a week. The people were also really friendly and welcoming.
I felt that my colleagues were very welcoming and made me feel part of the team. They also made me feel as if I was really contributing to the work.
My supervisors were always free for any queries I and responded quickly to my emails. When we were preparing our project for the directors, our supervisor was incredibly helpful in giving us advice and support.
I was given enough work to do that I was not bored and if there was no client work to do then I worked on the project we had been set. There were busier and quieter times but on the whole the workload was the right balance.
As my placement progressed I was given more and more responsibility which I enjoyed.
I have accepted a job offer with Ernst & Young so the skills I developed will be very useful!
The Company
There was a very friendly atmosphere in the office, I felt comfortable straight away.
The placement was very well organised. I had client work every day and was also able to go on an away job to London.
We were given feedback after each job which enabled us to develop throughout the placement.
Company Parties/Events
I have accepted a job offer from Ernst & Young.
The Culture
I got on very well with the other interns and they both accepted job offers which is great!
I live in Newcastle as a student and it is a very cheap city to live in.
Again, I live in Newcastle as a student and the Nightlife is very good.
The internship was only six weeks so opportunities were limited. However, it was clear that there are lots of opportunities for employees.
