The Role
I really enjoyed my placement, it was extremely helpful and provided me with the opportunity to experience the work i will be doing when i leave university
The colleagues that i interacted with were very helpful and eager to help me improve and do work that was useful to the task that needed to be completed
There is a fantastic support system within the organisation, your management team are always on hand to answer questions along with an assigned buddy and supervisor
I was never left without something to do, on the other hand you never felt like you had too much work
I was given a great deal of responsibility, and was allowed to carry out important tasks, however i always had someone much more experienced with me that i could ask questions to if i was unsure of anything.
I gained much more confidence in carrying out presentations and dealing with people, the work gave me more insight into how what i was learning at university was relevant to work.
The Company
There was a nice balance within the office that while you needed to carry out your work, you could have a conversation with your colleagues.
It was very well organised, the recruitment team were very well set up with all details provided to us well in advance of starting.
The company were extrmely interested in providing us with the best experience to help our development for the future, possibly into graduate positions.
Company Parties/Events
I have been offered a job upon leaving university
The Culture
All of the interns had the opportunity to meet and socialise upon starting the placememt and most of these interns have stayed in touch after finishing the placement
The cost of living was not high nor extremely low
There is a good nightlife in the area around where i worked
The orgaanisation are very open to any activities you may be involved in outside of work
