The Role
A really great internship, you get to meet lots of new people and the working environment is really relaxed.
Everyone that I worked with was really kind and supportive.
There are lots of workshops you can attend and you get weekly 1:1 meetings with your manager who monitors your progress and supports you.
My work was quite flexible so I was never under lots of pressure to get work done and could work at my own pace. Sometimes my manager was busy and so I was left with not a lot of work to do.
I was given responsibility and ownerships of my different projects.
I developed lots of skills which I will be using in future and later on in my career.
The Company
The atmosphere was really good in the office- very relaxed but also lots of different fundraising events and other meet ups going on.
The internship was very well run- ensuring we had weekly catch ups and placement reviews.
There were personal development workshops which we could attend.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
There are so many different roles available in the company and we are encouraged during and after our internship to apply internally for roles.
The Culture
We met weekly after work sometimes for drinks and we also spend lunches together.
Interning at CRUK means we have subsidised drinks in some of the nearby bars which makes it cheaper than other places in London. But it's still London so still quite expensive.
Quite a few pubs and bars around the surrounding areas which are quite busy
Lots of opportunity to get involved in fundraising and campaigning outside of work.
