The Role
The internship was really enjoyable and there was always something going on to get involved in.
My team were really welcoming from the beginning. It was nice to have a wider intern family too.
My manager, as well as my mentor, other members of my team, fellow interns and other colleagues were all supportive and gave guidance whenever I asked. No question was too small and I always knew I would be supported no matter what.
I was busy enough but always with the same things. It might have been nice to have been stretched a bit. Saying this, feeding this back to my manager has meant it should improve the situation for the following intern, which is a really positive thing!
I was given a good level of responsibility, although it would have been nice to have more.
The skills I have developed are invaluable to my future career, and my daily life.
The Company
Comfortable, busy and positive.
Well organised and well practised organisation, although feedback was always requested and I believe will be implemented.
At times it felt like I was just filling in and doing excess workload. But we are encouraged to apply for roles at the charity after the internship and supported in these.
Subsidised Canteen
Working from home
Very appealing and potentially within reach.
The Culture
Moderate.
V expensive, especially on an unwaged budget!
lots of bars to go for drinks with friends but expensive.
