The Role
It was challenging and interesting and there were always opportunities to experience new things and learn new skills
Very! I was never treat like a student but as another employee and I was asked for my expertise to help solve problems! Some of my colleagues I became very close too and are coming to stay with me!
I had regular meetings to discuss progress and future work which helped give my placement direction and gave me a high quality project
Some days it was quiet however the majority of my time it was pretty hectic but in a good way. I needed that work otherwise I'd be bored
I was given roles and responsibilities that built my confidence but also meant I became expert!
All of it has helped during my final year project, my lab skills and my writing skills have been essential. I have had to have very little training compared to some students which meant I've got more out of my final year project
The Company
Very friendly and always lots of gossip, it was like having 3 mums keeping an eye on me!
Superb, no problems at all!
If there was something I was interested in I was allowed to do it and it allowed me to experience so much
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
I would definately apply, and my experience will hold me in good stead
The Culture
I wasn't in the clubbing scene but living so close to London meant I could go out with friends there instead!
Mega bucks!!!
Ok, but the clubs had a reputation and were pretty vile! The pubs were great
Not so much, I joined a badminton club but other clubs were hard to come by!
