The Role
I enjoyed the whole experience of developing my skills in computer programming and biological chemistry and making new friends and meeting new people.
Sometimes I felt like I was interupting them too much earlier on in the placement
The Company
could be a little boring at times
They new generally what they wanted me to accomplish.
Very small general training with others. Nothing at all specific to my placement.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Both my supervisors were slightly conflicting when I asked about possible references and a job after the placement.
The Culture
If you want there to be there is...everyone regularly sees each other at lunch and if you want to organise trips or plans with others its up to you to do so.
Accomodation was very cheap (£250 per person incl bills) socialising was more expensive than Wales but normal for England and cheaper than London.
If you wanted lots of clubs it was not the place for you. I think there was 2 clubs but there were a few pubs and I am happy as long as there is places to go and play pool in pub. So for me it was fine but lots of friends complained.
Only with friends going to pub quiz etc. Not much variety of clubs (in terms of activity clubs)
