The Role
All the work we were asked to complete was not just fun but relevant and highly beneficial.
The whole day felt about you as an individual and feedback was personal and positive. If anything perhaps too positive!
This is the first placement I have been on but I am told the amount of feedback was unusual. I personally felt a helping hand was never far away.
Whilst the day had many activities to get through there was still plenty of time to think, learn and of course break. The food was very nice and the structure of the day meant the activities did not overwhelm.
We were left to work independently through the task and approach it how we saw fit. There was, though, guidance available on request.
As my first experience of this line of work I didn't stop learning throughout the day. Everyone I spoke to had relevant and important advice to give.
The Company
The people in Ernst & Young (or those I met at the Insight Day at least) were the most attractive aspect of the company.
The day was planned so that learning was balanced with networking and, of course, fun.
This is a question I can't answer yet! However, I can say Ernst & Young offer endless opportunity if the individual is willing to take on the challenge. I plan to apply for their Leadership Course which is the next step on the ladder. With this in mind the answer to this question could well change!
Whilst it is difficult to "Get a Job With Them" there is endless room to move through the company if the individual is willing to challenge themselves and commit. Therefore, for me, the future prospects within the organisation are very appealing.
The Culture
Although the placement was just a day the structure, such as 'icebreaking' games at the start of the day, allowed students to feel comfortable with one another right from the off.
N/A
Although the placement was just for a day it was in Leeds. I know the area and Leeds has very good Nightlife!
