The Role
I was a bit frustrated at how limited it was, I would have preferred to see more of the service lines within the company.
they were very welcoming and made it easy to get stuck in to work straight away.
i was assigned a "buddy" and also a manager who made sure I was doing the right thing and getting the right experiences.
I was given some very interesting tasks but they were intermittent, a number of more mundane tasks were keeping me busy during times when I no urgent tasks.
I was lucky to be brought out on client visits and do some billable client work.
It gave me real motivation to get my head down this year. The skills that were transferrable were time management and people handling skills.
The Company
I don't think the department within the company suited me as it was dominated by middle age woman, but the feeling of the whole office was vibrant and upbeat.
very well organised and centrally coordinated.
the initial induction week was very valuable and the buddy/manager system made you feel valued and invested in.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
I choose not to return to the department i interned with but EY were very accomodating in allowing me to change.
The Culture
it was good but it wasn't organised by EY, we were fortunate to have people on the internship organise events regularly. the induction week and closing party were well done.
London. But was fortunate to live with cousins during the 6 weeks.
London, so was faily unaffordable.
