The Role
My work placement was very enjoyable, I loved the environment of work and everyone is always happy to help.
everyone is treated equally, no matter if you're an apprentice/student/grad/professional.
monthly 1 to 1 meetings are offered from your line manager and the departments manager. they always offer guidance and support when asked
with the test cells running 24/7, there's always something to do
I was given day to day responsibility of running my own test cell.
not only did I gain technical skills, but more so helped develop my interpersonal and soft skills
The Company
the office was casual and relaxed
a good team of HR that monitors and organizes the placement student activities/training/graduation, etc
placement students were all enrolled in 5 personal training and development modules such as presentation skills, meeting etiquette, time management, etc. my manager personally asked which skills i think i need the most help with and has set-up tasks to help me practice them in the work environment.

The Culture
yes with it being a big group of 23 placement students, lots of things were organized
very cheap accommodations, nothing much to do in town
few good bars and pubs
the company always offers charity activities to get involved in
