The Role
My experience from the 4months internship was as a very valuable experience for me. I got to work on real responsibilities and had a great social side with my co workers.
I was treated as an employee of the company rather than just an intern and I worked on projects that were really valuable to me and my internship company.
I was always given feedback on m y progress and work i completed. I always got appraisal when i performed well, both from my supervisors and fellow co workers
I was extremely busy, during my internship as I supported the manager I worked on economic, industry, and company research to support pitches and deals and served and assisted clients with various aspects of business collaboration and support for all their business enquiries.
The first week I had a trial session meant to test my experience. I was able to pass this trial week successfully, after that week, I was consistently challenged in my role which is actually what i was looking for in an internship and i really did enjoy it as it made my placement engaging and enjoyable.
Most of my tasks involved research and proposal writing, doing this internship organised through Go Abroad China, really developed my skills as I wouldnt be able to gain hands on experience through just the university classes
The Company
My team was great, during our free time, we would all hangout, talk about our tasks and progress, and also have some fun
My internship was well structured. The trial week enabled me access my strengths and weaknesses, once I knew my strengths the company assigned tasks that enabled me develop my skills more
I was able to develop personally and professionally through my internship. Through presentations, and managing various tasks in my team, i felt the company was really interested in my overall developemnt
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
This would depend on the role being offered.
The Culture
We usually had weekly friday hangouts were we would drink freshly brewed chinese tea served by one of the co workers who was a tea expert, this was really fun.
Transportation was abit expensive as I lived far from the location. But the salary i received was enough to support me during my internship.
The night life was great
The tea hangouts on friday were always fun and I always looked forward to them each week
