The Role
I had an amazing experience, I learnt so much about the industry and it helped me decide exactly what I want from my career
I felt like part of the team, we went out together and they treated me with respect at all times
I felt like I could ask them anything
Occasionally there were times where I had nothing to do but I used my initiative and found things to do
During some of the audits I worked on I was given full responsibility of a part of the audit just like the other people who were working on the audit
I am able to put the techinical knowledge that I learned into practice during my third year at university
The Company
there was a fun side and a serious side where we all got some work done
There were times where I didn't have any work to do but that was expected, my manager was keen to make sure that I had a broad range of tasks during the internship
I had access to all the training facilities and there were lots if voluntary training programs I could take part in
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
This is the only company I can see myself working with after doing the internship, I got to see exactly what it is like to work there
The Culture
We went out as a department quite a lot which was fun
It was as cheap or expensive as you want to make it
As a student in Birmingham I knew all the good areas etc but it was nice to try new places where my colleagues suggested
We did a CSR day which was really rewarding
