Insight Program Attendee Review

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole insight day as it allowed me to experience first hand exactly what the industry, specifically Nomura has to offer and to understand exactly the skillsets required for roles within divisions such as Investment Banking or Global Markets.

After participating in the case study analysis, I feel the skills developed by working in a team will help me appreciate more the benefits that collaborative work could bring to my studies. The interactive skills presentation helped me appreciate the importance of particular structures when presenting work or any formal documents and the impression it leaves with people.

The insight day was extremely well structured so much so that every participant had the opportunity to experience 10 different sessions throughout the day. Given the constraints of the programme lasting one working day, I was pleasantly surprised at how no session felt rushed and the whole day ran smoothly.

The atmosphere at all times felt highly inclusive and extremely welcoming. The day started by everyone splitting into groups and introducing ourselves to one another meaning no one was left feeling intimidated. After that, the day was packed with different sessions creating an intense, but more importantly, a enjoyable environment.
