About You
The week was very informative and enjoyable - there were several different workshops available and many different panels that provided insight into Barclays as a company
The other students on the program were very nice and the staff were all extremely welcoming
Any questions that I had about the program were answered thoroughly and promptly and staff were always willing to help
I've learned various skills from this insight week that I will carry with me further into my studies and I hope to get the chance to continue pursuing a career with Barclays
The Company
There were always several workshops available, and our schedule was timed very well with multiple breaks in between sessions to allow for some breathing space.
It was a very positive atmosphere - everyone participating had fun and learned a lot from the experience!
We were given personal training for our CVs as well as preparation training for interviews which was very helpful and beneficial.
I now have a much better idea of what it would be like to work at Barclays - over the space of many different panels of graduates who spoke about their work at Barclays I learned about how much Barclays values their employees.
Several employees discussed how good their work life balance is at Barclays which is very good to hear.
It was very valuable as it provided extensive and valuable insight into what it would be like to work at Barclays.
Everything Else
We were given £250 and our travel fees were also reimbursed. Additionally, if we lived further than 1.5 hours away, our hotel accommodation was paid for.
We had a networking session in the evening to meet employees of Barclays - additionally, we were given the chance to ask questions as well as speak with the presenters after they had finished which was another networking opportunity. We also had the chance to network with other participants of the spring week.
They were very good experiences and it was a very comfortable setting to introduce yourself to members of Barclays!
We were told that if we had other activities at a graduate level role we could take some time off to participate in those activities.
This was a fantastic opportunity and program and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
