    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Informative, it gave a good insight into the management and basic development that happens in a bank. Accommodation provided was good and the people were great. I didn't learn too much in the way of technological content but it was intresting to see how a large coperation functioned.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Everyone I talked to was engaging and valued any questions I gave. We worked in small teams of 4 at one point to produce a presentation, though this depends on your team, I felt this was the right number of people to feel valued and enjoyed my time working in a group.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • As this was an insight we didn't need to do any tasks but any questions I had were answered and all the employees were happy to speak about what they did and how they did it. Support for anything else was provided by the hotel of the program coordinators and I never had any issues.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The structure of the program was okay. There were interesting sessions such as talks, shadowing and visits to other places. However over the 4 days, there were mostly presentations given from different teams, some areas overlapped meaning sometimes the content was a little repetitive. Maybe it would have been better as a three-day program.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The staff were friendly and informative, always willing to answer questions and talk to you with plenty of opportunities to do so. My peers were also great, everyone got on very well with no issues, they were friendly and sociable. This lead to a talkative atmosphere which was very welcoming. I really loved meeting everyone.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • This covered food. Hotel and expenses were paid for already by the company so you didn't need much else. I didn't end up spending a whole 250 meaning you had money to do things with if you wanted too. I thought it was a good amount and well worth 4 days

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes there was lots of networking between both peers and staff both after talks and in networking evenings. Even in shadowing. Everyone was very nice and wanted to answer questions and give buissness cards or connect on linkedIn. I think I've met some great people who I would love to connect with in the future
