About You
This week was extremely helpful in understanding the different areas I could invest into. I would suggest that I would have liked to see the offices themselves as the conference room we stayed in could have been anywhere. However, i understand this may not be allowed confidentially wise as certain areas are restricted.
I would say that I could feel valued in any other position at the firm however as an spring insight person we were still restricted from seeing anyone apart from the talks. However, everyone was more than willing to take the time to answer any possible questions we may have and offering time after.
This was great. We had graduates with us at all activities to help guide us through and help with any questions that we had and took the time to answer. They also offered additional support at other times. I do not feel that we were not supported at any time.
I would say that the information I received was great and exactly what was needed and specifically tailored to UBS. I would not have found this information on my degree. However, I feel this was more of an informational week and that I have not created any other skills from this week.
The Company
This was great. We knew exactly what we were doing at each moment and have had no spare time whatsoever (which is a good thing!) it was greatly organised and we were meeting knew people at every moment. I particularly liked the workshops as these gave more of an idea as to what the areas entail.
Friendly and smiley. Everyone else on the course was great and I really didn’t feel that there was a competitive nature to it. Everyone that I spoke to was helpful. Again, I did feel a bit like a client stuck in one or two rooms and was unable to get a feel as to the working environment.
I think this was well thought of. I felt both Rowena and Alex took time to invest in me and make sure I was alright at all times
I did not believe that this helped with understanding the day to say life of anyone living in the firm. I am a aware of the confidentiality barrier but I do feel it would really be a benefit if we could work shadow one person - even if only for one day!
A huge emphasis was Placed on the culture this week. Everyone that we spoke to mentioned it and it gave me a proper insight into what it would Entail working here. I really enjoy the culture and it seems a great place to work in regards to the culture and the tour we were given.
Despite receiving a wealth of information I still feel that I could have had more information or a better understanding with guest shadowing.
