About You
I enjoyed the large amount of content within the programme. The 2 day event was well structured with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and identify the most suitable service line.
The event had a good number of students (roughly 100) which was enough to meet plenty of other students, whilst also allowing me to feel valued.
Due to the type of event, there were not mentors or anything similar. However employees were available to network with at the social event, at the end of the first day. This provided further opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance outside of the event itself.
The digital disruption event was highly relevant to my studies and beyond. I would have preferred more focus on the ‘digital’ and ‘technology’ service lines, rather than a general overview of all service lines available.
The Company
The event was well structured. I particularly enjoyed the technology showcase, and ‘Hackathon’. Although more time should be allocated to the showcase rather than on presentations from different employees.
The location and venue was suitable. I felt comfortable speaking to other students during activities and over lunch. I was well catered for in terms of refreshments and lunch.
This event allowed me to understand the application of emerging technologies, particular from gaining an insight into the EYX team. Although the event was not focused on personal development, as it was only a 2 day event.
Much of the first day was spent understanding what a full time role would be like. Day 2 involved a panel Q&A to further appreciate what a role at EY entails.
I learned that culture is very important at EY, so it was good to understand how this impacts work-life balance and the lifestyle I can expect at EY
The content was well varied, but for students who already know of the path they would like to take, much of the presentations received were irrelevant.
Everything Else
Travel expenses covered. Hotel provided for students whose journeys exceed 1.5hrs.
Plenty of networking opportunities were provided at the social event and during refreshments breaks.
I enjoyed the social event and refreshments.
I learned of the different opportunities available, such as cooking classes and sports teams that employees are part of.
Highly recommended, especially for those interested in emerging technology.
