The Role
It was a great insight into life at a professional services firm, and I was given real work and given exposure to clients.
Everyone I worked with was very helpful and I felt part of a team.
Anything I didn't understand was clarified by my colleagues, and I felt I could ask for help at any time.
During busy season in Audit I was very busy, often working 12 hour days.
I was given the responsibility of a graduate employee.
Although not directly linked to my degree, the skills I developed through the year will definitely help me when meeting new people and learning new things at university.
The Company
Relaxed, hard-working atmosphere.
Very well structured, with a lot of networking events specifically for gap year students.
We had over 3 weeks of training before starting work.
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare/Dental
You are invited back to work in the summers between your university years.
The Culture
There was a very good social scene amongst the placement students and the department I worked in.
The cost of living was very high, as it was the centre of London
Very good, being London
There are a lot of sporting opportunities and ways to get involved in charity projects.
