About You
I learnt a lot from the experience, looking in depth at the lines of business I selected. The employees and other candidates were enthusiastic and friendly, which made for a good experience.
I felt like they really wanted us to join. They were also my first spring week offer, which gave the impression they really value the spring candidates.
A lot of technical knowledge was assumed at times, but this did not matter as there was always someone to ask questions to.
There was a lot of focus on soft skills such as how to network and impress at interview. I also know a lot more about finance, as I came from a non-finance degree.
The Company
Very well structured and organised. I also knew what to do and where to be. Days were very long and busy.
Positive. I felt like everyone wanted me to succeed.
The program was well organised and we worked with employees of all levels in small groups, so I felt they invested a lot in us.
Work shadowing gave a good insight.
They explained this very well and it was evident again in work shadowing.
I now know what sort of career I wish to have.
Everything Else
A hotel and travel expenses were provided
Loads of networking with employees at all levels
I got a lot of insight into different lines of business and spent a lot of time getting to know other candidates
Yes, there are lots of clubs run by members of the bank and external activities.
Yes. The days are long and intense but I learnt a great deal.
