About You
Thoroughly enjoyed the insight! I met amazing, talented employees and interns. I was able to learn a lot about the bank and it’s role. The bank organised a fantastic week with great activities ranging from workshops, business panel talks and networking events.
I felt really valued because of the support and encouragement given during the week by the people at the bank.
The support was great by the junior talent team. There were many skills workshops and informational sessions to help us learn and prepare before participating in the interactive activities.
The information I learnt will assist me a lot in my degree which is a finance based degree and this experience allowed me to see how finance comes into action within a bank.
The Company
The insight was extremely well structured with lots of activities included during the day. There was a good variation of activities ranging from work shadowing, networking and skills and information workshops. Very informative and enjoyable structured days.
Extremely welcoming, friendly which was reassuring when it can sometimes be daunting as a student. I felt very comfortable and learnt a lot. It was a fantastic learning and networking environment.
The company invested in us a lot by providing a stepped structure in learning from learning simple financial concepts leading up to events later in the week that required applications of these concepts in more complex scenarios.
I understood that it would be a very great atmosphere to learn, grow and build good relationships. People are very supportive and helpful.
The insight helped me a lot in learning about how supportive and educative the culture is at the bank.
Extremely valuable, as it further reinforced my decision to go into banking.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed expenses for travel, but I know for those that lived far, they were provided with accommodation.
There were lots of networking opportunities, including a networking dinner with senior role employees which was my favourite networking event.
Fantastic! They had options to talk to people from all departments and all levels of seniority in roles.
I found out about the bank’s external activities such as charitable activities like the magic breakfast initiative. The bank has interbank sports societies too which is great!
I would definitely recommend this insight to a friend! It was a fantastic experience!
