About You
I really enjoyed the week and having the opportunity to get some first hand experience. Citi made me feel really welcome and comfortable enough to ask all the questions I need to, in order to make the most of my week. Through their buddy method I was fully engaged and constantly had new tasks to do. Thank you for such an enjoyable week!
I felt valued throughout the week as my buddy would always include me in every task she did whilst also setting me my own tasks, meaning I was always active and felt involved in the team throughout the entirety of my spring week even when the team were very busy
I received plenty of guidance and support with the graduate recruitment team always on hand to answer any questions I had and were there in case i ever had any problems
I have gained plenty of transferrable skills from improved communication and networking to versatility and teamwork.
The Company
Whilst the timetable was very well organised and sructured it wouldve been nice to recive this in advance of the week in order to help us to prepare (especially in terms of mental preparation for the intensity and length of the day)
Whilst the week was intense, there was a friendly atmosphere within my team. However I felt intimidated when amongst the group
Citi gave me my own buddy who gave up her time to set me tasks and go through areas where I had less technical ability
It definitely gave me insight as to what working at citi would be like as I felt like I was participating in a real working day. By having our own work passes it enabled us the freedom to feel part of the company as well.
The networking was a crucial part of this as you got to talk to the people who really knew what the culture was like. It was interesting to see just how honest a lot of the employees were as well
Maybe a rotation may have been helpful as whilst I enjoyed feeling part of 1 specific team even if we couldve just sat on another team for an hour or so this may have been beneficial
Everything Else
Yes there were plenty of networking opportunities throughout the week which was really beneficial
Very helpful being split into both junior and senior events. Although perhaps may have been helpful to have the junior event first to give you more confidence for the senior event
Yes i did such as volunteer Africa and many other travel opportunities
