About You
I enjoyed it thoroughly and I have learnt so much in only a week. I did not realise how big of a part technology plays in Barclays and technology is truly the back bone of the company. Everyone I met was so passionate and motivated about what they do and I would love to work in a workspace such of this.
Even though we are all just interns, I have never felt so welcomed in a workplace. Everyone I spoke to was genuinely interested in what I have to say. I felt so at home here and relaxed which I think is great.
A considerable amount from the leaders of the spring week. All the networking sessions allowed me to gain support from many different people. The talks we received throughout the week guided me to how the technology operates here and in Barclays
It will allow me to look at my degree in a different perspective. It also enhanced my transferrable skills which will help me throughout life.
The Company
I really liked the structure and I liked how the days were set out. The couple of things I would improve on are i would mix up who we sit with on the tables so more people get to know each other. Also, I would possibly have the hotels closer together iff possible because it allows more bonding across the board.
It was a professional environment, but relaxed at the same time which I rated very highly.
I would say it developed me a lot in a week and I learnt a lot. They invested in us a lot considering the time frame, however, it didn't feel as personal as perhaps it could have been.
We had two work shadowing sessions which enlightened me on the different jobs, however it is very hard to fully understand their roles within a couple of hours. Prehaps one can only learn the true job role once they work there.
I really like how much Barclays value the RISES and I like how often they appear all over the office.
It had made me realise which part of the company i feel I could excel in, such as emerging technologist or Business Analysis. I would love to learn how to code, but I feel I need outside experience.
Everything Else
I have not been paid yet but we are sorting this out once we finish the week.
We had many opportunities to meet the employees and they were all lovely. I wish I had more time to meet more!
They were excellent as I leant so much in such a short period of time.
Well the campus makes it easier to play sports and go to the gym so they all are very active, which I really like.
Yes, definitely!
