About You
I really enjoyed the insight as it gave me a new experience into the technology sector, and it was something special as it was with a special company such as Barclays.
They made all of us feel so at home, as though we are real employees of Barclays.
They really looked after us and gave us help and support whenever we needed it.
The skills I learnt will definitely benefit me a lot in the future, especially since now I know that I definitely want to enter the technology sector for my future sector.
The Company
There were some time management issues, but overall the programs and activities held were very useful.
Everyone's energy was always high and everyone seemed very keen and interested to learn.
I felt Barclays really did put a lot of effort into training the next generation and helping us fulfill our potential.
Especially the work shadowing events, I felt I've gained a significant insight into the working life in the technology sector in Barclays.
Having the insight at the Radbroke campus really gave us a memorable experience to see how everyone worked according to the Barclay values and culture.
I've decided after this Barclays Technology Spring Insight Week that I would want to work in the Technology sector.
Everything Else
I was paid £250 and given daily allowances as well, with my travel expenses reimbursed.
We had a total of 3 networking events, and hence got a lot of chances to network with the employees at working at the company.
They were great, we got to talk and network with a lot of current employees and they told us a lot about how it is like working in Barclays and the opportunities the company holds.
We got to see that at Radbroke Campus there are so many opportunities for employees to mingle and have fun, there are facilities such as a gym, restaurant, field, etc.
Definitely, I would recommend anyone interested in the technology sector to apply for this Spring Insight as one would get an experience that can be received from no where else.
