About You
I really enjoyed the Insight programme as it really showed what life would be like working at the company. The week was filled with department meetings and social networking events which made the week really enjoyable. Everyone at the company is also really friendly and I found them easy to talk to and network with.
From my first day of the insight programme, we were given an introduction to the company before being introduced to the team for the week. After introductions and learning about what the team did, I was given real tasks to what on that would benefit the company. I was also given regular feedback on the tasks I was working on.
I was given a large amount of guidance and support through my insight programme and this came through conversations with my mentor, meeting other colleagues in the company and also through the departmental overview talks. Everyone was also happy to answer questions and give their personal views and advice on topics.
The information I have received whilst on the insight will definitely have an impact on my future. Before the week, I didn't even know that some of the pathways even existed so never considered them as potential future careers. The week has also helped in narrowing down my career options.
The Company
The Insight week was really well structured and well organised. We were given lots of information in advance on how the week will be structured. It was filled with departmental overviews and social networking events, allowing me to understand more about the company and a future career in the property industry.
The general atmosphere whilst on the insight scheme was really good. Everyone is easy to talk to and happy to answer questions so there were never any awkward moments. There was always time to chat with other colleagues about their experiences and their careers. The networking sessions were also really fun as you got to meet other students, graduates and directors.
On the insight programme, colleagues invested their time with us as there were many opportunities to speak to them and ask them questions. They also gave advice as they have already been through the graduate schemes etc. and gave us an idea of what to expect if you was to work at the company.
The one week insight programme is just the right amount of time to get an understanding of what life would be like if you were to have a full time job at the firm. This was due to the vast amount of activities and events that were set up in the week and advice given by colleagues.
During some of the presentations, we were told what the company culture is like and how this is a people company and very social orientated. As well as this we also went on networking events with graduates and directors and even went out for lunch etc. with other graduates. I enjoyed this culture as it was very sociable.
After my week, I have now narrowed down my potential future career pathways. Before the week, I wasn't too sure which career choice I would want to choose, but after being given a lot of information and finding more about the different types of jobs available, I now have more of an idea on what I want to do in the future.
Everything Else
There were many opportunities to network and meet other employees of the firm and most of these were all pre-arranged before the week had even started. I was able to speak with graduates and directors on their careers and what life at the company is like, helping me to decide what I want to do in my future career.
These were really well organised. I was able to communicate and network with a lot of people.
These were mentioned during presentations. A lot of employees are involved in company sports events.
Yes. It is a great opportunity to learn more about the property industry and what life would be like in your chosen field.
